Fact: Males who dress as females for drag do have lower self-esteem than other gay men, but their self-esteem rises when they perform. Their self-esteem seems to be linked to their femininity. This is not to say that all drag queens have low self-esteem or join to gain more, but some experience performing in drag as good for their sense of self-worth.

Zak Abel announced a Pop Up show a couple of days ago so three of us huddled under an umbrella to catch the 7 tune set. An hour later we passed the stage again and Zak was still putting in time with the fans. One to watch and a super sound dude.
